The story of how Peter met Natalia...
Toen Marianna me vertelde dat ze een vriendin in Zürich had, Natalia, die perfect zou zijn voor Aphrodite, heb ik meteen contact met haar opgenomen. We wisselden slechts twee berichten uit, en ik was al onderweg om haar in Zürich te ontmoeten (geen videogesprek of wat dan ook). Ik reserveerde een tafel bij het Spaanse restaurant Castellan’s in het Neues Schloss Hotel, zonder te weten dat Natalia zelf Spaans is. Het lot? Een grappig toeval? Misschien wel een teken van Aphrodite zelf!
Ik zag haar uit haar Uber stappen met een grote glimlach… en ik voelde meteen de vonk! Ik vond haar outfit ook geweldig: ze had duidelijk moeite gedaan met een prachtige zwarte minirok met mooie kousen, een elegante top en hoge hakken.
We begroetten elkaar en kusten elkaar hallo alsof we oude vrienden waren die elkaar al tijden niet hadden gezien – alles voelde heel natuurlijk. Natalia ging zitten en we besloten meteen wat tapas en wijn te delen, vergezeld van een moeiteloze conversatie die al snel uitgroeide tot een diner van drie uur. Bleek dat Natalia – op zo’n jonge leeftijd – erg slim is en al een masterdiploma heeft. Ze volgt momenteel nog een andere studie in medische wetenschappen. Tegelijkertijd is ze leuk, makkelijk in de omgang en ongecompliceerd. Natalia is inderdaad heel intelligent, maar ook een beetje een ‘geek’: ze leest graag sciencefiction, speelt schaken en gamet.
Fysiek is Natalia lang en slank, met lange benen. Ze heeft een bruisende persoonlijkheid en brede interesses.
Na onze ontmoeting vroeg ik me af of jullie, heren, haar net zo indrukwekkend zouden vinden als ik. Dus organiseerde ik haar eerste date. De feedback? Indrukwekkend, met veel nadruk op haar ‘geweldige energie’. Het was duidelijk: met Natalia samen zijn is alsof je op een koude winteravond in Zürich wordt gewikkeld in een warme deken.

Dance has always been my favourite form of expression, with ballet as a child and other kinds of dance since. I also enjoy rollerskating, which makes me feel playful and free, and swimming, which I find both relaxing and energising. I like to think of myself as both a social butterfly and a bookworm, which makes my interests quite diverse. I love meeting people and sharing experiences, but I also deeply enjoy quiet moments with a good book. In my free time I play video games, read a lot, and enjoy activities that challenge the mind like board games, escape rooms, and puzzles that make you think creatively and outside the box.
