The story of how Peter met Maria...
Madrid is al snel één van mijn favoriete steden geworden (die vibe, dat eten!). Dus zodra ik een aanmelding uit die stad krijg, ben ik meteen enthousiast. En deze keer was er extra motivatie.
Nadat ik Maria online had leren kennen, was de beslissing snel gemaakt… ik zou haar persoonlijk ontmoeten. Een paar dagen later kwam ze bij me lunchen in mijn hotel in Madrid. Ze droeg een navy two-piece en witte pareloorbellen. Simpel. Klassiek. Onderstated. Helemaal naturel. Gewoon… perfect. Als je vindt dat minder meer is, dan is Maria precies jouw type.
Ze is een jonge vrouw die recent is afgestudeerd en klaar is om de wereld te veroveren. Ze leeft een actief en sportief leven, traint bijna elke dag en was eigenlijk best trots om haar spieren te laten zien. “Ik ben slank, maar ik ben sterk!” demonstreerde ze lachend. Daarnaast heeft ze een grote interesse in alles wat met technologie te maken heeft.
Een echte Real Madrid-fan, schattig, met bijzondere lichtbruine ogen — waarin iets mysterieus, of misschien zelfs een vleugje ondeugendheid schuilgaat. Ik wist meteen dat ze thuishoorde bij het A-team. Het voelde gewoon te vanzelfsprekend.
Slechts twee dagen later vloog ze al naar Londen voor een ‘blind date’. De feedback? “Wat een verrassing!”
