Ellie

Within just five minutes of our first video call, Ellie leaned in with a smile and asked when we could meet. My schedule was packed with meetings in Zurich, so I mentioned I’d only be free to fly to Málaga about ten days later. “Oh no, so long,” she said. “If I fly to Zurich, will you make time for me?” Two days later, there she was—waiting at the Marriott Hotel. Now that’s motivation!

Ellie was dressed in chic mini shorts, a crisp white top, and delicate sandals that highlighted her naturally toned, athletic figure. She greeted me with such a big long hug I could feel her heartbeat! The Marriott bar wasn’t quite the vibe—Ellie was just too much fun for that, so I suggested a cozy Italian spot nearby, and off we went.

Everything felt natural. From the very first moment, our conversation flowed effortlessly. We talked about travel, our roots, past adventures, and the little things that make life sparkle. 

At the restaurant, the sun was glaring down on our table, so I mentioned we might need some shade. Ellie stood up, smiled at the waiter, and said, “Excuse me, my boyfriend is sitting in the sun—could you please move us?” The waiter declined, in classic Zurich fashion, but I couldn’t stop smiling. That boldness, that easy charm—it was undeniable. Ellie has that X factor; I knew I was talking to a new Aphrodite. 

Over dinner, more of her character came through. Highly educated and well-travelled, Ellie is the definition of a modern cosmopolitan woman. Originally from the Nordics, she shines brightest in warmer climates. Adventurous and spontaneous, she thrives on new experiences. Nothing about her is timid—she’s lively, curious, and full of energy, asking questions and sharing stories with contagious enthusiasm. About the rest, Ellie said it quite perfectly: and I quote; “I love to love!”.
